Some people work to cure cancer, others are fighting the war on poverty. Me? My selfless act is to help people spend money on stuff they need, like clothes and bags and makeup and, of course, killer shoes. But, that's not all. I like to eat. And complain (most specifically about how hard it is to be a mom). Oh, and obsess over the next perfect pair of shoes.

The Clothing Two-Fer
On "Third Rock" — the funniest TV show ever — one of the characters is called Two-fer (my spelling) because he's not only African American but a Harvard guy. He's a double-whammy minority.
In the clothing world, a "two-fer" means you get two uses out of the same item. Case in point: The printed J. Crew dress seen here is actually last year's Marbella swimsuit coverup. Wear it to the pool, wear it around on the weekend.
This season, J Crew's got the Frankie dress in plain ($50) and floral prints ($59.50) as a contender for this year's two-fer. Don't jump — you know it'll get seriously marked down.
Outfit: J Crew Marbella coverup, J Crew tissue-thin cashmere cardigan, J Crew bracelet and Stuart Weitzman tortoiseshell sandals.
