Some people work to cure cancer, others are fighting the war on poverty. Me? My selfless act is to help people spend money on stuff they need, like clothes and bags and makeup and, of course, killer shoes. But, that's not all. I like to eat. And complain (most specifically about how hard it is to be a mom). Oh, and obsess over the next perfect pair of shoes.

Shop — It's the Law
So here's a website I never thought I'd be trolling. It's for the U.S. Marshals Service.
This email grabbed my attention when it arrived the other day. This is the top of it:
Convicted Embezzler Sue Sachdeva's Designer Shoes, Purses, Clothing Being Auctioned
WASHINGTON – Hundreds of items, including designer shoes, purses, and clothing, formerly belonging to convicted embezzler Sujata “Sue” Sachdeva are being sold via an online auction by the U.S. Marshals Service through November. The property, which includes brands such as Armani, Manolo Blahnik, Brooks Brothers, Chanel, Fendi, Gucci, Donna Karan, LAM and Louis Vuitton, was seized and forfeited in connection with the criminal prosecution of Sachdeva, who was convicted of embezzling $34 million from the Milwaukee-based company, Koss Corp. Auctions will run continuously through November, with the current sale of 101 lots ending Nov. 10, at www.txauction.com. Nearly all of the items are new, many with tags.
Well, hellloooo, Manolo.
Alas, Sachdeva's feet are bigger than mine, but if you're an 8.5, check out the site. Lots of Judith Leiber little bags, too.
Who knew?
There are also abandoned and impounded vehicles being auctioned off by the city of Austin, if that's more your speed.

Why couldn't she be a size 7?
Or size 5.5! Well, maybe I'll skip over to see if there are any bags worth adding to my ridiculous collection. The things you learn from reading blogs! ;)
