Some people work to cure cancer, others are fighting the war on poverty. Me? My selfless act is to help people spend money on stuff they need, like clothes and bags and makeup and, of course, killer shoes. But, that's not all. I like to eat. And complain (most specifically about how hard it is to be a mom). Oh, and obsess over the next perfect pair of shoes.

Friday Boot Haiku
These boots are made for...
Snoozing! They are very plain.
Must try to zhuzz them.
Shoe n' Tell: These are Uggs. Yes, Uggs. I know, right? They don't look the least bit moon bootish.
They're sooooo fuzzy inside. I liked how basic they are when I bought them, but now I think they need a little somethin' somethin'.
These bootstraps could be the answer, but not at $50. It seems like a trip to Ace Hardware for jump rings and chain could yield basically the same effect. Or, it could end up like my other crafty projects — half done in the closet.

I've said my share of bad things about Uggs but I can't deny their warmth and comfort! My sis has a big furry pair she wears to work in but dainty pumps will not let you survive a NY winter! I've secretly been wearing a pair of "home Uggs" - I may have to break out the outdoor pair soon - soooo cold!
Amazon has a lot of options under "boot straps" (shoot, what doesn't Amazon have?!) for only $30 - or shoot, just get two pairs of some big chainy bracelet to add some interest!
You could also try some of those little cape-fastener things. They're usually not too expensive if you're not buying designer, haha.
