Stars, stars, everywhere — even before it was the Fourth of July.
Two of the past three things I bought have been all star'd up. What is it about stars? They're cute, but edgier than polka dots. They're empowering, almost superhero-ish. I do feel kinda invincible when I wear the Vita Fede "Como" star wrap bracelet. The stars add such a cool twist to studded leather bracelets, which are everywhere.
I'd been coveting it on Shopbop.com for months and then it went on sale and sold out. I keep it on my wishlist anyway. Lo and behold, it went on more sale and one popped back up, I snagged it. Guess the stars, er, aligned for that purchase.
The Marc by Marc Jacobs earrings were on mad sale ($14). I couldn't not buy them.
As for the 32 Flavors star tunic, it's cute, but it's not on sale. Just lurve the idea of the sheerness and sequin stars.
