Some people work to cure cancer, others are fighting the war on poverty. Me? My selfless act is to help people spend money on stuff they need, like clothes and bags and makeup and, of course, killer shoes. But, that's not all. I like to eat. And complain (most specifically about how hard it is to be a mom). Oh, and obsess over the next perfect pair of shoes.

Tryin' On Falsies
As much as I love Snuffleupagus eyelashes — which only occur naturally on ungrateful children or males — I've never done the extension thing. Or even the false eyelashes thing.
Until now.
It wasn't at my own hands — it was done for a photo shoot. The makeup artist thought we should go all-out and really glam it up. She was right. Truth be told, even though I felt like a Muppet (specifically Janice from Dr. Teeth's band), those falsies were kinda cool.

WOW! They make your eyes pop. That looks amazing.
My daughter has eyelashes like these. I am so jealous, as you are right, she has no idea how lucky she is.
I use Latisse. I'm not going to lie, it is vanity but it is worth every penny. My eyelashes are amazing. No mascara required.
Um, one more thing. My husband is at this very moment reading your article on pajama jeans and laughing and cackling like a mad man. He keeps reading me random quotes. Good job!
aww, thanks for the positive feedback on the story, j!
hope little sienna keeps those lashes. all three of mine have 'em — and it's my little boy's lashes that are the longest of all. of course.
That is so true. Women never get lashes like that naturally! Yours look great.
I like the falsies once in awhile. They can look weird irl if you're not used to them, but oh do they photograph well.
