Some people work to cure cancer, others are fighting the war on poverty. Me? My selfless act is to help people spend money on stuff they need, like clothes and bags and makeup and, of course, killer shoes. But, that's not all. I like to eat. And complain (most specifically about how hard it is to be a mom). Oh, and obsess over the next perfect pair of shoes.

A Yee Haw Outfit
It's rodeo time here in the Old Pueblo.
That means no school (seriously), the world's longest non-motorized parade (read horses clip-clopping and plopping in the street) and ..... lots of overly done cowboy outfits. We're talking boots, denim-on-denim (shiver — I don't care what Jenna Lyons says, that is not a good look) and plaid button-downs with pointy pockets.
Homey don't play that.
But, I do think that Sandra Bullock in "Hope Floats" pulled off a good western look without going overboard. Side note: She also had the best movie hair ever — thick, wavy — in that flick.
Here's my "Hope Floats"-inspired imitation: Current/Elliott denim hoodie; thrifted floral dress; Forever XXI leggings; Jessica Bennett boots and Target necklaces.

This is the only way to do Western wear!
I really love the dress with the denim jacket. I didn't dress rodeo since I was out of town! Today it's so cold, I'm tempted to dress eskimo.
