It's been a week since the tragedy. Seven days since six people died. Several more were mowed down by gunfire. Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, still hospitalized after a bullet passed through her brain, continues to make amazing progress, responding to doctors' commands and opening her one, unbandaged eye.
Memorial services are underway. There's a sense of normalcy slowly returning, along with the feeling that the country will never be the same. Today's a good day to read the Ms. magazine blog. It's written by our former babysitter, a dynamo who has a way with people. And with words, too.

Such an intelligently written article. I loved reading it and have re-read it several times.
Thanks for passing this on.
K, that was beautiful. I optimistically look forward to seeing R's face at the NEXT time Gabby speaks in public! How did you manage to find such a babysitter?!
